Description

Tylo-Doxicol combines three highly effective antibiotics to provide broad-spectrum protection against bacterial infections.

Doxycycline HCl belongs to the tetracycline group of antibiotics and acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It is active against numerous Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus species. Due to its strong affinity for lung tissue, it is particularly effective in managing respiratory infections.

Tylosin Tartrate is a macrolide antibiotic that provides bacteriostatic activity against a variety of respiratory pathogens, including Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus species. It is widely used in veterinary medicine for respiratory disease management.

Colistin Sulphate is a polymyxin antibiotic with potent bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Haemophilus species. It acts by disrupting bacterial cell membranes, leading to rapid bacterial death.

The combination of these three active ingredients provides extensive antimicrobial coverage for the management of complex and mixed bacterial infections.

Indications

Tylo-Doxicol is indicated for the treatment and control of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including:

E. coli
Salmonella spp.
Mycoplasma spp.
Pasteurella spp.
Haemophilus spp.
Staphylococcus spp.
Streptococcus spp.

Suitable for use in poultry, calves, sheep, and goats.

Contra indications

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to tetracyclines, tylosin, colistin, or related compounds.

Avoid use in animals with severe hepatic impairment unless directed by a veterinarian.

Do not administer concurrently with antibiotics known to interfere with the activity of tetracyclines or macrolides.

Side effects

When used according to recommended guidelines, adverse effects are generally uncommon. Occasionally, digestive disturbances or hypersensitivity reactions may occur in susceptible animals.

Dosage

(For Oral use only)
Poultry:
Treatment: 1gm per 2 Liter of driking water for 3-5 days.
Pervention: 1gm per 4 Liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.

Calves, sheep and goats

Administer according to body weight and veterinary recommendations.

Poultry

Administer through drinking water as directed by a veterinary professional.
