Description

Amoxycillin Trihydrate is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in the destruction of susceptible bacteria. It is effective against numerous Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

Colistin Sulphate is a polypeptide antibiotic with potent bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria. It acts by disrupting bacterial cell membranes, causing leakage of essential cellular contents and bacterial death.

The combination of these two active ingredients provides enhanced antibacterial coverage and supports the treatment of mixed bacterial infections commonly encountered in poultry and livestock production.

Indications

• Respiratory tract infections
• Gastrointestinal bacterial infections
• Enteric diseases caused by susceptible bacteria

Contra indications

Do not administer to animals known to be hypersensitive to Amoxycillin, Colistin, penicillins, polymyxins, or related compounds.

Side effects

When used according to recommended guidelines, adverse reactions are generally uncommon. Hypersensitivity reactions or mild gastrointestinal disturbances may occur in sensitive animals.

Dosage

Oral use only.

Calves, sheep and goats

10 gm per 50 kg body weight for 3-5 days.

Poultry

1 gm/ 1-2 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.
1 kg per ton of feed for 3-5 days.

Observe withdrawal periods specified on the product label and comply with local regulatory requirements.
